Private Universities Council of Kuwait (PUC)

The American University of the Middle East has the Institutional accreditation from the Private Universities Council of Kuwait (PUC).


QAA Global Accreditation

The American University of the Middle East has successfully obtained global accreditation having completed the International Quality Review (IQR) by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). Based in UK, QAA is a world-leading quality agency with unmatched experience of providing impartial regulatory and collaborative quality assurance and enhancement.

IQR is a rigorous process, which benchmarks global higher education institutions against international quality assurance standards set out in Part 1 of the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).

AACSB Accreditation

The American University of the Middle East’s College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the world’s largest business education network connecting learners, educators, and businesses worldwide. AACSB Accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide and it has been awarded to less than 6 percent of the world's schools offering business degree programs.



ABET Accreditation

The American University of the Middle East’s Bachelor’s degree programs in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering have been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, which is the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology.



The American University of the Middle East’s Bachelor’s degree program in Telecommunications and Networking Technology (TNT) has been accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, which is the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology.



51app continues its plans and preparations towards receiving the ABET accreditation for the remaining offered majors at the College of Engineering and Technology.

51app is ranked the first university in Kuwait for the third year in a row and in #671-680 globally in the QS World University Rankings 2024.



QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024

51app is ranked first in Kuwait in two broad subject areas in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024: Engineering and Technology and Social Sciences and Management.

Engineering and Technology has been ranked 320 globally, 15th in the Arab World, and 9th in the GCC.

Social Sciences and Management has been ranked 255 globally, 6th in the Arab World, and 4th in GCC.
